Cœur de Gazelles was created in 2001, during the Rallye Aïcha des Gazelles du Maroc, to provide humanitarian aid to the remote populations that live in the Sahara, one of the most inhospitable terrains on earth.
For more than 17 years, Cœur de Gazelles non-profit association has been bringing together a team of men and women dedicated to providing services and support in the areas of health, the environment, job training and education.
Their actions are on a human scale: Cœur de Gazelles works with the local desert population to address the source of their problems and encourages them to become agents of their own development.
They are committed to helping, but not just on a one-time basis.
They work on the long term in a spirit of partnership: They do not create alternative structures; They strengthen and develop existing local ones.
Each project is recognized and approved by the Moroccan government, giving legitimacy to their actions.
Cœur de Gazelles is supported by the logistics and infrastructure of the Rallye Aïcha des Gazelles.
